·    Iraqi regime arrests 32 in raids targeting anti-occupation militias in Baghdad Wednesday.

·    US troops enter Iraqi government building, take photographs without permission.

·    In continued preparations for American attack on Iran, Iraqi regime police arrest eight anti-occupation Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in raids, searches in al-Basrah.

Resistance group claims destruction of US supply truck near Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 6:19pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Iraqi resistance group known as the Brigades of the 1920 Revolution had issued a communiqué on Wednesday.

Yaqen reported the communiqué as claiming that fighters for the 1920 Brigades had blown up a supply truck serving the US occupation forces on the highway in the ar-Ridwaniyah area near at-Tallah.  The blast destroyed and burned the truck completely, killing all aboard, the communiqué maintained.  No indication of when the attack had taken place was included in the communiqué.

Iraqi regime arrests 32 in raids targeting anti-occupation militias in Baghdad Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 8:19pm Baghdad time Wednesday evening, the Yaqen News Agency reported that Iraqi government forces had arrested 32 people in several neighborhoods of Baghdad in the previous 24 hours.

Yaqen reported a source in the Baghdad Operations Command as saying that Iraqi government police and army forces under the Operations Command had arrested 25 members and seven suspected members of the anti-occupation Jaysh al-Mahdi and other militias supportive of Iran.  The source said that a quantity of weapons, materiel, and explosives – most of it of Iranian origin – had also been seized in the raids.

Since March, the US-backed Iraqi regime has been actively engaged in an offensive against the anti-occupation Sadr Movement and its armed wing, the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, in Iraq, in what is believed to be preparation for an American attack on Iran.

Resistance group claims rocket attack on US facility near Samarra’.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Iraqi resistance group known as the Army of the Rashideen, a constituent member of Jihad and Change Front, had issued a communiqué on Wednesday.

Yaqen reported the communiqué as claiming that fighters for the Army of the Rashideen had fired two S5K rockets at an unnamed US military post north of Samarra’, a city located 120km north of Baghdad.  The communiqué did not specify when or exactly where the alleged attack took place.

Resistance group claims attack on US mine sweeper near at-Tarimiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Baghdad time Wednesday morning, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Army of the Muslims, an Iraqi resistance group, which is a constituent member of the Jihad and Change Front, issued a communiqué on Wednesday reporting an attack on a US column in at-Tarimiyah, 35km north of Baghdad.

Yaqen reported the communiqué as claiming that its fighters had detonated a bomb under an American mine sweeper, disabling the vehicle and killing or wounding the US troops aboard.  The communiqué gave no indication as to when the attack was supposed to have taken place.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

Bomb kills woman in al-Miqdadiyah Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a bomb exploded in the area of al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad, on Wednesday.

The AMSI reported a source in the security forces for Diyala Province as saying that the blast killed a woman  but offered no further details.

Al-Mawsil.

Bombardment of police station in al-Mawsil wounds person.

In a dispatch posted at 10:30pm Baghdad time Wednesday night, the Yaqen News Agency reported that four mortar shells had landed on the headquarters of the Emergency Regiment of the government police in southeastern al-Mawsil.

Yaqen reported a source in the al-Mawsil police as saying that the barrage on the police station in the al-Wahdah neighborhood of the city left one person wounded and did material damage to three patrol vehicles inside the building.

Since 10 May, the US and its Iraqi regime allies have been waging an offensive against the al-Qa‘idah organization in al-Mawsil and surrounding Ninwa Province.

Two Iraqi army troops killed in attack on checkpoint in al-Mawsil Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that gunmen assaulted a checkpoint manned by Iraqi army troops east of al-Mawsil, 420km northwest of Baghdad, on Wednesday.

Yaqen reported a source in the government army as saying that the attack on the checkpoint in the at-Tahrir neighborhood left two government troops dead.

Since 10 May, the US and its Iraqi regime allies have been waging an offensive against the al-Qa‘idah organization in al-Mawsil and surrounding Ninwa Province.

US troops enter Iraqi government building, take photographs without permission.

In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that US troops stormed into the provincial government building in an-Nasiriyah, 320km south of Baghdad, and took photographs without first getting permission from the local officials.

Yaqen reported a source in the local government who asked not to be identified as saying that the US troops were accompanied by an Iraqi army officer but did not get permission to enter the building before coming in and taking pictures.  The source noted that this was a violation of the terms under which the US handed over responsibility for security to the local Iraqi regime authorities.

As source in the Dhi Qar Province police command said that the Americans entered the building and took photographs as part of  their preparations for a planned meeting between US commanders and the Governor of Dhi Qar Province, ‘Aziz Kazim ‘Alwan.

Just two weeks ago, US forces also carried out an airborne landing in the ath-Thawrah area in the suburbs of an-Nasiriyah.

In continued preparations for American attack on Iran, Iraqi regime police arrest eight anti-occupation Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in raids, searches in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Yaqen News Agency reported that the Iraqi government police had carried out raids in various parts of al-Basrah in southern Iraq on Tuesday and arrested nine more members of the anti-occupation Jaysh al-Mahdi militia.

Yaqen reported the spokesman of the Iraqi government forces in al-Basrah Province as saying that the raid, carried out at dawn Wednesday, also yielded five boats used for smuggling and a quantity of weapons and ammunition in areas near the Iranian border.  The spokesman said that raids were conducted in the Abu al-Khasib area, east of al-Basrah city and across from the Iranian border. The government also carried out raids in the az-Zubayr area, 35km west of al-Basrah city and near the border with Kuwait.

The spokesman claimed that 82 Kalashnikov assault rifles, three PKS machine guns, five Simonov rifles, and a quantity of ammunition and explosives were taken in the raids.
