1) The AIDS Story:
Many of our readers expressed their disbelief with regards
to the story we ran on the 15th of May about 305 Palestinian
children purposely infected with AIDS in "Israeli" hospitals
over a period of years. Some demanded that we provide evidence
for what we claim. Obviously it is not within our means to provide
physical evidence, as much as we would have liked to, but we did
find the original Arabic text of the story as published first by
the Egyptian daily Al-Ahram, on January 22, 1997, based on the
"Israeli" daily 'Yediott Ahronot'.
Below, we provide a literal translation of the news item exactly
as it appeared in Arabic. But before that we would like to thank
our friend Abu Mat-ta for helping with the search.
(from the Egyptian 'Al-Ahram': January 22, 1997)
                     A New Crime:
Israel Injects 305 Palestinian Children with the AIDS Virus
Jerusalem-news agencies: The Israeli daily 'Yediott Ahronott'
Uncovered a heinous crime committed by the Israeli authorities,
with the injection of some of the children of the uprising
of the stones, in the West Bank and Gaza, with the AIDS virus.
The paper admitted that cases have been registered for 305
Palestinian children infected with the AIDS virus during different
stages of their treatment for regular illnesses, in hospitals
supervised by Israeli occupation authorities.
The paper also mentioned that lawyers apologized for not being
able to sue the Israeli government to guardians of some of the
infected children, allegedly because the peace agreements signed
between the Palestinians and the Israelis forbid any lawsuits
against the government of Israel for crimes committed during
its period of administering the occupation of the West Bank
and Gaza.
Commenting on this new crime, Dr. Mufeed Shuhaab, the president
Of Cairo University and the Committee on Arab Affairs & National
Security in the parliament, said that if the truth of this
incident was established, then we're right before a crime against
humanity that doesn't expire with the passage of time.
Any agreements to the contrary have no effect. Dr. Shuhaab also
explained that the [Palestinian-Israeli] agreement can only deal
with the routine and daily operation of the [Palestinian National
Authority] administration. It should be implemented in accordance
with the law and is to be legitimate, just like the running of the
territories by the occupation administration.
Shuhaab emphasized that not the Oslo Agreement, or any other, can
deprive the Palestinians from undertaking lawsuits if their
truth is proven. He described the crime as "ugly", and one which
is condemnable by international convention, and international
principles.
(End of story from Al-Ahram)
If you can read Arabic, we've also found an article related to the
AIDS story on the Arabic Al-Shabakah which comes out of Australia.

2) New Developments in the Case of the Palestinian Woman who
Wounded two Israeli Soldiers on the Borders with Jordan:
Gaza, May 24 (Reuter) - Jordan has handed over to Israel,
Iyad Abu Libdeh, a Palestinian living in Amman whose wife
Sonya al-Ra3y carried out a shooting attack last month at
the Allenby Bridge crossing.
His lawyer said that the Jordanians interrogated Abu Libdeh and
when they found they could not prove that he aided or trained
his wife, they handed him over to the Israelis who are torturing
him and depriving him of sleep for long periods of time.
The lawyer also pointed out that legally, Abu Libdeh should have
been handed over to the Palestinian National Authority.
Jordanian embassy officials in Israel and Israeli prisons
authority officials were not available for comment.
A spokesman for Israeli occupation authorities in the West Bank
said he did not know the case !@#$%^&*
The Reuters news wire doesn't question how this typical treatment
of Palestinians by Arab regimes and "Israel" perpetuates the
cycle of violence in the region. Remember that the wife Sonya
attacked in the first place to take revenge for her brother
Ibrahim who was killed under torture in an "Israeli" jail?
Later on, someone will just lecture us a little bit about
Peace ... Why the hell not, they own the media!!!

3) Iraq Holding Strong in the Face of Superpower Terrorism:
The Arabic al-Watan, http://www.watan.com, mentioned that Iraq
emphasized that it has rejected twice offers to lift the embargo,
which has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children, in
exchange for normalizing relations between Iraq and "Israel".
The spokesman for the Iraqi parliament Saadon Hamadi said:
"There's no way Iraq will enter in any such deals in any shape
or form"!
In another development, news are transpiring about improvements
in the relationships between Syria and Iraq, and an opening of the
borders to trade.
It is ridiculous that Arab and Islamic states should boycott
Iraq while normalizing their relations with "Israel".
Finally, Syria is leading the way out: boycott "Israel" not Iraq.
And Iraq has demonstrated at the highest cost to its people that
NOTHING justifies normalization with "Israel".

4) A Plea to Support the Sudanese People:
Sudan is also another Arab and Islamic state under siege because
it's not going along with the Zionist and colonial policies in the
region. At the highest cost to its people, Sudan is still trying
to hang on to its identity and independence, and is currently
facing economic sanctions, civil war, and a vicious campaign to
destabilize the regime. We urge you to do what you can to support
Sudan.

We will continue to oppose all forms of collective punishment,
and to support all those who suffer because they refuse to
become slaves.
Whether Arab nationalist, Islamic, or simply patriotic, whether
they agree or disagree with each other, as a matter of principle,
they're all our people suffering from injustice, and we should
do what we can to help.

5) A French Dog Seeks Asylum in the Self-rule Areas of the PNA
Confidential sources in the Animal Liberation Movement relayed
Previously untold reports about a very spoiled French dog that
traveled all over the world, and when his canine ears heard of
the 'State of Palestine' that Chairman Arafat keeps talking about,
he decided to go there to check it out..
Well, after a few months elapsed, the French dog's human
companion, M. Jacque Qarfan, emailed the dog to come back
to Paris because he misses him so much. However, the dog called
and refused, barking in a soft French accent that he's never coming
back to Paris and that he's currently processing a request for
political asylum in the self-ruled areas of the Palestinian
National Authority!
Immediately M. Qarfan took the first Concorde plane to Tel Aviv
airport. He planned to file for custody, but first he had to find
the dog. So he hired one of the many Palestinian security
apparatuses to find his dog. But they couldn't do it because as it
turned out all those who perished under torture had just given
false information about the whereabouts of the dog to please
their torturers. But that wasn't good enough for M. Qarfan.
Yet in a weird twist of fate and just as he gave up, M. Qarfan
Stumbled into his dog in Gaza by sheer coincidence.
- Mon cheri, what happened to you? Why have you dumped me? Is it
- true you want to stay here?!!
But the dog replied: "Well I do believe sir that a dog should
live like this, or not at all".
- "And why is that my friend?", M.Qarfan inquired.
But the dog shot back confidently:" This is the only place on
earth we dogs feel respectable... because over here even the
people live like us!"
