Land Day sit-in at AZAR
=======================

The Association against Zionism and Racism (AZAR) cordially invites you to
participate in a sit-in in commemoration of Land Day. The sit-in will take
place on Saturday, March 30, 2002, at 4 pm at AZAR's. Note that Land Day
celebrations this year will be marked by a general strike in the Palestinian
Arab lands occupied in 1948. It will also be marked by the continuation of
the Intifada in the Palestinian Arab lands occupied in 1967 despite U.S.
government pressures, political ploys, and the eagerness of Arab rulers to
offer unnecessary concessions (such as normalization with Zionists and
giving up the right of return) at a time when Sharon and Zionist society are
squirming in the jaws of the success of the Intifada. Thus, we call on all
those who oppose occupation and injustice worldwide, and who support the
right of return of Palestinians to their land and property, to commemorate
Land Day this year more than any other in support of the continuation of the
Intifada.
