Let's bypass longing
let's circumvent nostalgia
why can't we move on 
beyond Palestinian curves 
your hips, your thighs
your body twisting round like a snake

Lets get back to basics
let's simplify our words

I want to write you a simple poem 
away from Palestinian complexity 
away from psychological tension
away from Palestinian expressions...
I want to say :
Bahbek
truly, deeply, simply
I want to say:
Habibtee
simplified!

No Palestinian complexity allowed
No Chequered Koefias allowed

Let's elope or die 
commit suicide, depart,
do anything...

I am sick of running around 
lets jump the gun 
surprise them
the hell with friends and family!

The future is taking a risk 
on someone you love,
It is the belief 
that you can make happiness 
together

Let's rush into things
take a chance 
a gamble 
a failure
anything....

Let's get beyond
