بيان من لائحة القومي العربي حول انتخابات الكنيست السابع عشر في 28/3/2006

تؤيد لائحة القومي العربي دعوة مقاطعة الانتخابات التي أطلقتها "اللجنة الشعبية لمقاطعة انتخابات الكنيست" وتشد على أيدي كل القوى والشخصيات الداعية للمقاطعة في الأرض المحتلة عام 48، وتدعو جماهيرنا العربية الصامدة في ال48 إلى مقاطعة الانتخابات الصهيونية يوم الثلاثاء الموافق في 28/3/2006 بكثافة أكبر من الكثافة التي قاطعت فيها كل انتخابات الكنيست السابقة.

ولأن قضيتنا واحدة وشعبنا واحد وأرضنا واحدة، فإن الموقف المبدئي الذي يتبناه العروبيون الشرفاء داخل وخارج لائحة القومي العربي هو: لنرفع صوتنا عالياً ولنشهر سلاح المقاطعة في وجوههم.

وإننا لندعو العرب المشاركين في تلك الانتخابات إلى إعادة النظر في موقفهم والتفكير ملياً بما سيقدمون عليه، خاصة أن آثار المشاركة في انتخابات الكنيست تنعكس سلباً على كل الشعب الفلسطيني وليس فقط في ال48. فالمشاركة في انتخابات الكنيست فعل تطبيعي أولاً، لأنه يتضمن اعترافاً بمشروعية كيان استيطاني إحلالي على الأرض العربية المحتلة يبقى الكنيست الهيئة الأعلى فيه.

والاحتلال لا تنتفي صفته بالتقادم، ونحن نستغرب فعل المشاركة لما يعنيه من قبول للاحتلال بأنه دولة وأنها ديموقراطية. فلا مشروعية لانتخابات تلحقنا بمؤسسات الاحتلال ولا لأي عملية سياسية في ظل احتلال في أي زمان ومكان.

وحيث أن الاحتلال الصهيوني يستغل المشاركة العربية في الكنيست ليقدم نفسه للعالم وللعرب أنفسهم بوجه ديموقراطي براق، وليفرض شروطه في النهاية على اللعبة السياسية، فإن المقاطعة تصبح واجباً وطنياً وقومياً وشرعياً وإنسانياً. ولذلك ندعو لأوسع مقاطعة، ولدعم المقاطعين بكل الوسائل الممكنة.

والمشاركة في الكنيست جريمة سياسية، وتمثل تخلياً عن عروبة الأرض مقابل هدف سخيف هو الحصول على مكاسب هامشية أو حقوق أقلية قومية للعرب على أرضهم المحتلة. وهذا هو معنى السعي "لإزالة العنصرية من داخل مؤسساتها": تنفيس النضال الشعبي وتشتيته من خلال توجيهه عبر مسارب آمنة للاحتلال نفسه.

والواقع أن فئة السماسرة السياسيين المستفيدين من لعب دور الكمبرادور السياسي لمصلحة الاحتلال، أي لعب دور تسخير الصوت العربي لإعطاء المشروعية للمؤسسة الحاكمة الصهيونية مقابل بعض الامتيازات لأنفسهم، هم الأكثر اندفاعاً للترويج لوهم إصلاح "إسرائيل" من الداخل، وهو وهم باتت تكشفه الجماهير العربية بصورة متزايدة في الأراضي المحتلة عام 48 مع عجز هؤلاء عن إحداث أي تأثير على القرار السياسي الصهيوني وتحولهم بالتالي إلى شواهد زور ومعارضة صورية لا قيمة مبدئية أو عملية لها.

ونود لفت النظر هنا إلى دور بعض وسائل الإعلام العربية المشبوه في تعبئة جماهيرنا للمشاركة بانتخابات الكنيست بحجة إيصال الصوت العربي. لكن وصول الصوت العربي للعالم لا يكون بإعطاء "إسرائيل" وجهاً ديموقراطياً مزيفاً عن طريق المشاركة في انتخاباتها، بل بمقاطعة تلك الانتخابات لفضح حقيقة عدم جدوى المشاركة فيها حتى على المستوى المطلبي البسيط كما اكتشفت جماهيرنا بالتجربة العملية.

لا لإضفاء المشروعية على الكنيست الصهيوني فالعدو المحتل لا يكون شريكاً!

نعم لمقاطعة انتخابات الكنيست الصهيوني! ونعم لبناء المؤسسات العربية البديلة!

لا مشروعية لانتخابات ولا لأي عملية سياسية في ظل احتلال!

نعم للنضال الشعبي العربي على الأرض، وعبر الأطر التي يبنيها بنفسه!

لا لأسرلة جماهيرنا العربية في فلسطين المحتلة عام 48!

نعم لوحدة الشعب العربي الفلسطيني في كافة أماكن تواجده ولوحدة أطره السياسية في الداخل والخارج واندماجها بالنضال الشعبي العربي، وألف لا لتجزئة القضية الفلسطينية إلى ملفات، واحد للشتات، وواحد للضفة وغزة، وثالث لل48!

الحرية لأسرانا في المعتقلات الصهيونية والأمريكية!

To the Arab Masses in the occupied territories of 1948: Boycott the Zionist Knesset Elections!

The Arab Nationalist List supports the call to boycott the elections that was issued by the Popular Committee for Boycotting the Knesset Elections, and salutes all the forces and individuals in the territories occupied in 1948 who are calling for a boycott. The Arab Nationalist List calls on our steadfast Arab masses in the 1948 territories to boycott the Zionist elections on Tuesday 28 March 2006 in greater numbers than boycotted in all the earlier Knesset elections.

Because our cause is one, our people are one, and our land is one, the principled position adopted by honorable Arab nationalists, inside and outside the Arab Nationalist List is: let's raise our voices and unsheathe the weapon of the boycott in the enemy’s face.

We call on those Arabs who plan to participate in the elections to reconsider their position and to ponder deeply the step that they're about to get into. Taking part in the Knesset elections has a negative impact on all the Palestinian people, not only those in the 1948 territories. Taking part in the Knesset elections is a form of normalization, in the first place, because it implies recognition of the legitimacy of an occupying settler-colonial entity on occupied Arab land of which the Knesset is the supreme representative body.

Occupation does not cease to be occupation just because it gets older. We find it strange that some would take part in the voting, considering that it means acceptance of the occupation as a state and a democracy. There can be no legitimacy in any election that ties us to the institutions of the occupation, nor in any political process under the aegis of the occupation in any time or place.

The Zionist occupation exploits Arab participation in the Knesset to present a glowing, democratic image of itself to the Arabs and the world, and in the end to impose its terms of reference on the political arena. Thus the boycott becomes a patriotic, an Arab nationalist, a legal, and human duty. For that reason, we call for the widest possible boycott and for support of the boycotters with all possible means.

Taking part in the Knesset is a political crime, representing the abandonment of the Arab character of the land of Palestine in return for the silly goal of obtaining certain marginal gains or national minority rights for Arabs in their own occupied homeland. This is what the effort to “eliminate racism from within its institutions” means – deflating and breaking up the popular struggle by channeling it along paths that are safe for the occupation.

The fact is that the band of political speculators and profiteers who benefit from their role as political compradors for the good of the occupation – a role that turns Arab votes into means to legitimize the Zionist ruling institutions in return for a few privileges for themselves – are the ones who have the greatest motivation to spread the illusion of reforming "Israel" from within. This is an illusion that the Arab masses have exposed ever more glaringly in the territories occupied in 1948 as those political compradors continue to fail to effect any change in the Zionist policies. Their failure turns them into false witnesses and a sham opposition of no importance either in principle or practice.

We would like to draw attention to the suspicious role played by some Arab news media in mobilizing our masses to take part in the Knesset elections by using the pretext that they must make the Arab voice heard. The Arab vote cannot reach the world by giving "Israel" a false democratic façade by taking part in its elections. The Arab vote can only be delivered by boycotting those elections in order to expose the reality of the uselessness of participation in them even on the level of simple demands, as the masses of our people have discovered through their actual experience.

No to legitimatizing the Zionist Knesset; the occupying enemy is not a political partner!

Yes to boycotting the Zionist Knesset elections! Yes to building alternative Arab institutions!

Yes to the Arab popular struggle on the ground within the frameworks that the Arab people themselves construct!

No to the "Israelization" of our Arab masses in the part of Palestine occupied in 1948!

Yes to the unity of the Palestinian Arab people where ever they are located! Yes to the unity of their political frameworks inside and outside the homeland and their integration into the Arab popular struggle! A thousand times No to splitting up the Palestine Cause into separate little issues – one for those outside the homeland, one for the West Bank and Gaza, and a third for the 1948 territories!

Glory to the martyrs of Iraq and Palestine and to all martyrs of the mujahid Arab Nation!
