Oppose the War on Afghanistan

Nothing can speak eloquently of the mean spirit of these Jewish
times more than the screen-full images of advanced American warplanes
unloading their cargos of destruction on the thriving metropolis of
Kabul and the towering skyscrapers of Qandahar!!
It is not that the globalized terrorism of the New World Order was any
less benign with the civilians and urban infrastructures of Baghdad or
Belgrade.
It is not just the international sanctification of the practice of
publicizing the names of cities/ruins that most of humanity has barely
heard of before.
It is not just the unrestrained barbarism of the law of the jungle in
international relations, with or without the garb of ?international
legitimacy?.
It is the fact that for the first time all these things are taking
place WITHOUT a formal pretext or a pretense to spreading democracy and
human rights. There was neither Kuwait nor Kosovo. The U.S.
government said it does not need to provide such a tangible pretext
[for example, confront Taliban with evidence of their involvement in
the attacks on America] in order to attack. It thus bestowed upon
itself the singular right to spread its terrorism anywhere it chooses
in the world under the amorphous banner of combating terrorism. And to
the extent such state-terrorism is condoned by the other states of the
world, including the present allies of America, those states are going
to end up paying for it with their own sovereignty and integrity. But
then too, America itself might have to pay, not just because of
potential revenge attacks against it, but also because it may have
embroiled itself this time in a conflict from which it won?t be able to
extricate itself easily, at least not without abandoning its strategic
objectives.
So, what's all this talk then about a 'Third World War' or 'war of
civilizations'? As far as I see, America is launching a continuing war
on the people of the Third World, and if there is a war on a larger
scale, then it will only be because America has decided to attack other
countries, as some media reports indicate. Otherwise, can you point
out the alliance of countries that are fighting this Third World War
against America now?
And why should American civilians be any more precious than civilians
elsewhere in the world? And if America insists on killing other
countries' civilians, why should our condemnation be louder when
American civilians are killed as a result?!
My thirteen or fourteen years in America taught me that Americans don't
respect weaklings, and don't take seriously those who are politically
contrite. In fact, if the Bush administration has reversed its
position on meeting Arafat or suddenly decided to fly the kyte of the
Palestinian state, then the credit goes directly to the attacks which
elicited the so-called 'war on terrorism' [and to Bin Laden if he is the
one responsible for these attacks], no? Furthermore, now more than
ever, Americans are more interested in learning about our region and
the Arab-Zionist conflict. I think it is clear enough that these
developments did not come about due to the efforts of defeatists or
those kissing the butt of "Israeli" pubic opinion.
Thus, our FIRST obligation remains to oppose imperialism and aggression
against the Third World. Any ideological differences with Taliban or Bin
Laden should not become part of the pretext for imperialism to attack
Afghanistan. Now is not the time to raise these differences.
As for the so-called 'Palestinian State', yes, there might eventually
be one, but it will be tailored along Zio-American specifications.
Just like the bi-sexual state, such a state has nothing to do with the
liberation of Palestine, or with Palestinian aspirations. It will just
be another Arab regime serving imperialist interests.
LET'S OPPOSE THE UNJUST WAR ON AFGHANISTAN.
LET'S SPEAK UP AND DEMONSTRATE AGAINST IT.
IT'S THE LEAST WE CAN DO.
