The Communiqué of The Association against Zionism and Racism (AZAR),
and the Free Arab Voice (FAV) Regarding the Latest Uprising in
Jerusalem:

The massacre committed by the Zionist occupation forces in and around
the Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound in Jerusalem, and the subsequent events,
all prove the absolute impossibility of coexistence with the occupation.
For the problem lies not in the way the so-called "peace process" is
going, or in the conduct of this or that Zionist, but in the presence
of the occupation itself.

Hence, the provocation of Sharon's visit to the Aqsa Mosque Compound,
does not only stem from Sharon's criminal Zionist record, but from being
another page in the history of the Zionist occupation of Palestine.

In fact, the latest round of Zionist atrocities in the Aqsa Mosque and
the rest of Palestine came while Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and the
supporters of justice world wide, remembered the Sabra and Shatila
massacres of 1982 (supervised by Sharon himself), the tenth anniversary
of the Aqsa Massacre, in which eighteen Palestinians were martyred, and
the fourth anniversary of the Tunnel Clashes in September of 1996, in
which sixty five Palestinians were martyred and hundreds were wounded.

This is a pattern of dealing with the children of the Arab land, called
the Zionist Occupation, Sharon being but another symbol of this pattern,
just like Barak, Rabin, Perez and the others.

Such a pattern can only be confronted with armed struggle, and mass
Intifada (uprising), as the experience of South Lebanon, and the
experiences of the peoples who were subjected to settler-invader
occupation have proved time and time again. Our people recognized
instinctively that the uprising, revolution, arms, and stones are the
only tools to deal with such an enemy. And here comes back again, quite
spontaneously, the glorious mass uprising to vent out the outrage of the
Palestinian people and to shake the Arabs out of their lethargy.

Protests, strikes, and clashes with the invader are spreading like hope
in the towns and villages of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, in Haifa,
Nazareth, and the occupied territories of 1948, in Jordan, and in the
Palestinian camps of South Lebanon, to establish the uprising (Intifada)
as the only strategic option for the people of Palestine and the whole
Arab nation in dealing with the occupation.

The uprising and the armed struggle are not merely tactical tools to
improve the terms of the negotiations with the Zionist enemy over the
scraps of Palestine. And those who employ the uprising as such, are
actually using the sacrifices of freedom fighters for personal gains,
within the context of the so-called peace process put forth to liquidate
the Arab - Zionist conflict, by reducing it into an incoherent
collection of regional conflicts and to deconstruct each regional
conflict into a selection of isolated sub-categories, like the refugee
question or Jerusalem, then to dissolve each sub-category into shreds of
technicalities, that would then be resolved on the basis of the balance
of power.

Actually, the Arab regimes and the PLO leadership that adopted the
so-called "Peace Process", as a strategic option, are as guilty as the
Zionist enemy for all the bloodshed and the scores of lives taken. For
while negotiators on our homeland were receiving and exchanging visits
with Zionists, our people were receiving Zionist bullets with open
chests.

And while fighters are being confined in Palestinian and Arab prison
cells, and laws are enacted to facilitate Zionist infiltration in the
Arab World, in accordance with the Oslo, Wadi Araba, and Camp David
agreements, the Zionist enemy is escalating its confiscation of
Palestinian lands, building more settlements, and reinforcing its
strategic reserves of weapons of mass destruction, in clear defiance
of the code of the so-called "International Legitimacy".

Arab regimes and the PLO leadership have always played the game of
absorbing public rage, and then attempted to employ it to serve their
own interests. Therefore, our historical role right now should not
revolve around pressuring or begging these parties that have lost
their credibility long ago, to stop normalization or cut off diplomatic
relations with the Zionist enemy. WHAT IS NEEDED INSTEAD IS TO ESCALATE
THE UPRISING THAT STARTED AFTER THE LATEST AQSA MASSACRE, AND TO SPREAD
IT SO THAT IT MAY INCLUDE ALL OF PALESTINE, ALL PALESTINIANS, AND ALL
THE ARAB PEOPLE. We should also expect from the PLO leadership to try
and dissipate this uprising, as it did with the first uprising (Intifada).
Such an attempt must be thwarted at all costs by escalating the present
uprising to the end.

Nothing will paralyze the vacillation of opportunists, and nothing will
frustrate the normalization process like the spread of the mass uprising
against the occupation, inside and outside Palestine. This is the role
that all opposition parties should play, as they should not be content
with issuing complaints and appeals to the Arab governments or the PLO
leadership to stop negotiations, cut off diplomatic relations with the
Zionist enemy, or to stop the normalization process. This is much less
than what this historic moment calls for, and much less than what the
forces against Zionism can do.

Long live the uprising of the brave Palestinian Arab people.
Long live the armed struggle against the Zionist enemy.
Long live liberation, the road to return.
Long live the Arab character of Palestine.
Yes for the confrontation of Zionist infiltration through the mass
uprising.

On the Difference between Jews and Zionists:

Outside Palestine, a Jew who is not a Zionist, and who doesn't support
the Zionist movement in any shape or form (s/he doesn't even need to be
anti-Zionist!), is not our enemy, and can even be our friend. But IN
Palestine, every breathing walking Jew is an invader, by virtue of being
part of an settler-invader society. Thus, in Palestine, every Jew is
